9. Chennai Express
Another movie to make it on this list is the romantic comedy drama called “Chennai Express”, which has Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It was directed by ace director Rohit Shetty and had a budget of Rs 115 crore.
8. Krrish 3
The next name on the list of most expensive budget movies in Bollywood is that of “Krrish 3”, a super hero film starring Hrithik Roshan in the title role. It is a sequesl to sci fi movies by Rakesh Roshan, called “Koi Mil Gaya” and “Krrish” and had a budget of Rs 115 crore.
7. Kick
“Kick”, the super hit action thriller movie featuring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, comes next on the list, with a big budget of Rs 120 crore. It released in 2014 and has been shot extensively in overseas locations.
6. Blue
Another high budget Bollywood film is the multi starrer movie called “Blue”, which had big names like Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan on its star cast. Despite a budget of Rs 120 crore and some amazing underwater stunts, the movie bombed on the box office.
5. Ra One
“Ra One” is a science fiction movie, which has made it on number 4 in the list of top 10 biggest budget Bollywood films ever, with a huge budget of Rs 130 crore. The movie starred Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor, along with Arjun Rampal as the antagonist. The thrills and action make it worth watching.
4. Bang Bang!
Featuring next on this list is the 2014 Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer “Bang Bang!”, a remake of the hit Hollywood movie called “Knight and Day”. The action thriller had a whopping budget of Rs 140 crore.
3. Robot
With a massive budget of Rs 150 crore, “Robot” comes next on the list of top 10 biggest budget Bollywood films of all times. The impressive sci fi thriller starred super star Rajnikant and Ms World Aishwarya Rai and became a worldwide super hit.
2. Dhoom 3
The expensive budget movie in Bollywood till date is Aamir Khan starrer, “Dhoom 3”, which hit the cinemas in 2013. The movie was produced by the prestigious banner of Yashraj Films, with a whopping budget of Rs 155 crore and starred Katrina Kaif opposite Mr Perfectionist. It turned out to be a raving hit all over the globe.

The most expensive budget movie in Bollywood till date is Bahubali. Bahubali features superstars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah. The first installment of the two-part epic hits the screens in India on July 10, and the industry will closely watch its performance. Previously, 2011 release Ra.One, co-produced by and starring actor Shah Rukh Khan, was considered India's most expensive film, with an budget of about ₹250 crore (US$38 million)
